Denver, CO (Sports Network) - Denver Nuggets assistant coach Mike Dunlap resigned on Thursday to take an assistant position with the University of Arizona.
"Mike has been an invaluable resource to my staff," said Nuggets head coach George Karl. "Coach Olson is getting one of the top minds in basketball and we'll miss him greatly. We wish him the best of luck at Arizona, where we know he will be very successful."
Dunlap joined the Nuggets as an assistant coach prior to the 2006-07 season and was party to a 95-69 (.579) record over his two seasons.
Before joining the Nuggets, Dunlap served as the head coach at Metro State College of Denver for nine seasons, amassing a 248-50 (.832) record and capturing two NCAA Division II national titles in 2000 and 2002.
